I’m Einar. I build things and help people make them work.
I’m an independent developer and technical advisor based in Oslo, working through Utvikler Einar Hansen. I work with clients on new products, existing systems and the decisions around them—from choosing a technology stack to organising integrations and infrastructure.
My background spans 15+ years across technology, energy and startups. Along the way, I’ve worked with founders, customers and operations teams, and gained experience with investments and the day-to-day realities of running a small business.
In 2013, Erik Bonsaksen and I cofounded Motetilbud, a website for finding clothing deals. I was the lead developer, and we worked on it for ten years. It was my first business and the start of a lasting interest in building my own projects.
At Storekeeper, I designed and built an energy-data platform covering more than 2,500 grocery stores. I later worked on real-time monitoring tools that helped operations teams catch equipment faults before food spoiled. As CTO at Secundo, I connected the store, warehouse and finance systems and fully automated income reconciliation.
I enjoy understanding how a business works and finding practical ways to improve it. I still spend plenty of time building software, and I love contributing to open source when time allows. Away from the screen, I’m often sailing, hiking or sitting by a campfire.
If you have a product to build, a system to improve or a technical decision to work through, feel free to get in touch.
