I'm Einar Hansen đź‘‹ I absolutely love programming and building things from ideas.
My journey into the world of tech began in the summer of 2013. My friend Erik Bonsaksen (now CEO of metamanager) and I had an ambitious idea: we'd become millionaires by creating an app to help people find the best discounts on fashion clothing. Erik had just returned from Munich, Germany, where he'd been responsible for distributing discount codes in the Scandinavian market. What could go wrong? While we didn't make millions, we gained something far more valuable - invaluable knowledge and experience. Since that summer day, we've poured tens of thousands of hours into various projects. Despite the challenges and time invested, we haven't retired - nor do we want to. Our passion for innovation and technology is stronger than ever before.
It took us 10 years to finally bid farewell to our brainchild, motetilbud.no. Yet, that decade-long journey wasn't just about an app; it was also the beginning of my career transformation. The excitement of creating something from scratch led me to trade my civil engineering career—with its load-bearing calculations and blueprint drafting—for the art of coding. Instead of constructing physical infrastructure, I found myself building things in the digital landscape. Now, with just a keyboard and a good cup of coffee, I could build systems in the cloud that would work for me around the clock.
Since 2015, I've been deeply immersed in the Laravel ecosystem, crafting high-quality web applications, actively contributing to open-source projects, and engaging with the community at Laracon events in-person. My passion lies in tackling complex problems. Hand me an 'impossible' task with a tight deadline, and you'll see me truly in my element. For me, the tougher the challenge, the more exciting it becomes. Some of my favorite highlights include tackling unique projects that few developers have ventured into:
- - Creating real-time streaming applications in Laravel over MQTT, leveraging ReactPHP for enhanced performance
- - Building a control and monitoring tool for detecting, changing and analyzing regulator values in approximately 100 grocery stores, allowing you to remotely control the temperatures, valves, frequencies and much more
- - Managing and analyzing hundreds of millions of energy observations using the powerful combination of Clickhouse and Laravel
- - Developing custom solutions to extract temperature data from gridfiles in the netCDF format using LDAP integration
When I'm not deep in code, working on an API or the next big thing for a client, you'll find me contributing to open-source projects or staying updated with the latest Laravel trends on X. Away from the screen, I'm either enjoying the cosiness of a campfire in the woods or hiking along a trail by the ocean.
If you're looking for someone to transform your startup vision into reality, or if you'd like to discuss the latest tech trends over a virtual coffee, feel free to reach out. I'm always eager for new challenges and engaging conversations in the world of technology.
